If you ever dreamed of living through a complete re-making of the world order, congratulations! It’s happening. The latest evidence that things are never going back to the Old Normal is the global trade war initiated by US President Donald Trump.
Whether or not Trump’s tariffs are part of a larger Globalist plan to introduce a social-credit style digital economy I couldn’t tell you, and whether or not this is a 5D chess move that will result in long-term gain for all humanity is anyone’s guess. But one thing is for sure: some of the social media talking heads think people are petty and foolish to worry about losing their savings.
Some of these people, such as Benny Johnson, seem to have reached their Let Them Eat Cake moment.
That’s Benny’s face on Marie Antoinette’s wax figurine. On April 4, Benny said in a video he uploaded to Twitter/X: “Losing money means nothing. Digital ones and zeroes. In the end, you won’t miss any of it.”
He wasn’t the only one to brush off people’s concerns about their investments. Collin Rugg wrote: "If you can't stomach a 15% drop ... you shouldn't be investing. End of Story." Tech billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya told people to “shut the f*** up” about it. Catturd seems to believe that only poor, stupid people would question the genius of Trump or Musk. Catturd, you may know, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show and bragged about how much money he’s making from inane social media posts. Clearly he believes that as long as he remains an attack dog for the ruling political class his own fortune will continue to grow.
May I mention how apropos it is that a man using a synonym for excrement as a screen name was selected for the spotlight by the biggest propagandist plumbers? Social media isn’t so much a Digital Public Square as it is a Digital Public Toilet.
It’s always a bad sign when people who got rich by virtue of birth, or by stunt, or by criminality feel free to publicly proclaim their disdain for the working stiffs and I see that happening a lot lately. I could have included additional examples to demonstrate my point but I believe the above will suffice for today.
In 2023 when Elon Musk cried victim (as he often does) in the wake of an unflattering piece by left-wing outfit Media Matters, a handful of the Narrative Network whose hefty paychecks rely on maintaining favor with the Twitter/X monetization algorithms pledged support for the billionaire.
Here’s a sampling of how much they gave to the world’s richest man in order to stay in his good graces.
Perhaps those numbers will give you some idea of how well rewarded these people are. Propaganda pays. Loyalty to billionaires is lucrative. Weak, shallow, materialistic men and women eagerly trade their honour, dignity and even the welfare of others in order to get wealthier. It’s not as if they are struggling to feed their families. The Lord knows that many in dire straights have done things they aren’t proud of to keep a roof over their heads. This isn’t that. These people aren’t “just tryin’ to survive, man.”
Last month a similar group of Narrative Network turds went out and bought Teslas as tribute to the King of the Toilet Bowl. When Tim Pool announced his new purchase, he prefaced it by saying that he already owns three:
Was he kidding? Maybe. But his post received a reply from Musk himself and that reply translates to money through the X Monetization program. No one knows exactly how it works so it’s possible that this tweet alone could pay for Tim’s Cybertruck. (Incidentally, Rumble Video appears to be building a similarly opaque rewards system where favoritism is baked in but would be difficult to prove.)
Who knows, maybe if SpaceX comes under fire the Big Turds in the Digital Public Toilet will subsidize the next rocket launch. It’d be great publicity if a few of them climbed on board for the ride! Turds in Space, simulcast live on Rumble and X with Alex Jones hosting and Andrew Tate providing color commentary. Probably best if the Rocket were manned by women, actually. It’d make for a more tragic moment when the thing explodes over the Pacific (again.) But I’m getting carried away here. Back to topic!
For now the Narrative Network messaging is about the tariffs and their potential impact. To be fair, what I mostly saw on my Twitter/X timeline last night was not the cheerleaders. The algo was sending me post after post warning of Black Monday. As I type the markets are an hour or so away from opening. What will happen when the bell rings?
Well, going purely by what the X algo wants me to see and feel, I’m going to guess that there will be a plunge and then a rise. I doubt the rise will last for more than a day or two before volatility strikes again. I say this not due to economic fundamentals. Quite the opposite - I say this because I know a good story. The best story for Trump and Musk and the whole Narrative Network right now would be for all the doom-sayers to be put to shame. It would be for the market to do what Trump has said it would do: react badly at first but then stabilize. So I think that’s what is going to happen. They can “own the libs” once again, and next time maybe people won’t be so quick to panic, or to speak up, or to protest at all in any way. In other words, if the stocks recover even temporarily it will serve to demoralize the opposition even further.
Sadly, I believe that’s all they want right now. They want the life sucked out of us - not just financially but psychologically also.
Don’t let them win. Keep your head on straight and your heart full of love for your fellow man. The Narrative Network is a machine, it is NOTHING. It is the wool pulled over your eyes. My job is to help new people to see that and to be a place of sanity for those who already do. God bless those of you who have stuck with me, and a big welcome to anyone new. I’m blessed to have you here.
I’m going to stop writing now.
Head on over to AmazingPolly.Net if you’d like to contribute to this work. I tried to set up subs here on Substack but the process failed and I’m totally over fighting with technology. So, you can send something through the mail (my address is on the Contact page at my web site) or you can use the electronic means to send financial support. Cheers!
"The digital public toilet". A more accurate description couldn't exist. It is shocking just how flagrant they are with showing off their wealth now. Great message at the end, they are NOTHING!
You’re an excellent writer Polly. Thanks for the morale boost this morning!
